Dr. Carolina Pataky is the co-founder of the Love Discovery Institute and is a highly respected figure in the field of sexology and relationships. As a Clinical Sexologist, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and Certified Sex Therapist, she is committed to helping individuals and couples attain the highest level of fulfillment in their lives and relationships.
Dr. Pataky is recognized as one of South Florida's leading experts on intimacy, relationships, and sexuality. She is the creator of the “H.I.M. Method” (Healing Intimacy in Men) and Love Discovery Institute’s “Building Love and Intimacy” programs. Her relationship-centered institute is headquartered in the heart of Coral Gables and is staffed by a team of experts who share Dr. Pataky's philosophy and approach to healing. In addition, Dr. Pataky works with various venues around the world to facilitate retreats and workshops and appears as a guest speaker on various TV shows and podcasts.
Dr. Pataky has dedicated her career to helping individuals achieve deeper connections, intimacy, and authenticity in their relationships with themselves and others. She brings a personal understanding of family dynamics to her work and is dedicated to helping others navigate their own journeys of self-discovery, self-love, and the attunement of quality life and relationships. Her personal journey of growth and healing has given her a profound understanding of the human experience and the transformative power of healing.
In her therapy, Dr. Pataky uses a relational framework and has embraced an eclectic mix of modalities, including psychodynamic, transpersonal, somatic, and breathwork, to assist individuals and couples of all sexual orientations finding deeper healing, particularly in the areas of trauma, anxiety, depression, infidelity, and sexless marriages.
Dr. Pataky earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at the University of Massachusetts and her Master's Degree from Carlos Albizu University. She then sought further training and experience from renowned professionals such as Dr's. John and Julie Gottman, Stanislav Grof, and Carol Clark. She is also trained in Imago Relationship Therapy, which emphasizes the importance of relational, interdependent relationships. Finally, she later earned her Doctoral Degree at the International Institute of Clinical Sexology.
Dr. Pataky has partnered with various venues, such as the Carillon Miami Resort, Miami Beach and Sandals Hotels & Resorts, to offer exclusive retreat experiences.
