Meet Nathalie

Practice Philosophy

I believe that our identities and realities are shaped by the narratives we construct about our experiences, relationships, and the world around us. Individuals are deeply interconnected, and oftentimes challenges arise within the context of relationships and family systems. Individuals have an innate ability to heal and transform into their optimal selves, and while it may be difficult and challenging, it can be one of life’s greatest adventures. In my view, my role consists of assisting clients in gaining insight into their behaviors, emotions, and thoughts, thus enabling them to make meaningful changes and foster healthier relationships. I am committed to creating a supportive, non-judgmental therapeutic space where clients can feel heard and understood.

Therapeutic Approach

The therapeutic journey will be a process in which you feel profoundly understood and connected while simultaneously being challenged and supported. We will build a safe space where you can process your pain and uncertainties and gain fresh insights into your authentic self. As your therapist, my role is to join you in this journey of deconstructing and understanding your life narratives, which may be limiting or causing distress. Through this process, we will also uncover any hidden yearnings and aspirations. We'll then collaboratively weave a new narrative—one that aligns with these aspirations and promotes healthier, more constructive ways of being in the world. This process is not about changing who you are, but rather empowering you to become the author of your own story, creating a narrative that reflects your values, hopes, and dreams, and supports you in your journey toward well-being.

Specialties EMDR Therapy: Trauma Healing Therapy

As a compassionate therapist, I specialize in guiding individuals through their journey of healing from trauma using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). With a focus on empowerment and self-discovery, I help clients gain profound insights into their experiences and reclaim their lives. Additionally, combining somatic and mindfulness techniques, we cultivate present-moment awareness, explore physical and emotional sensations, and facilitate the release of emotional trauma stored in the body. Men's Therapy: Embracing Growth and Fulfillment

Navigating the complexities of life as a man can be both challenging and transformative. I offer tailored therapy for men, addressing their unique needs and concerns. I focus on creating a nurturing space where you can freely explore and address various issues, from relationships and communication to personal growth and emotional well-being. I support men in breaking through barriers and achieving greater clarity in their lives. The therapeutic techniques I use, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-based therapies, Solution-Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Existential Therapy, are designed to help you embrace your true potential and find fulfillment. Let's work together towards creating a life that aligns with your authentic self. Individual Therapy: 13+ Teens & Adults

Life's journey as a young adult and adult is filled with excitement and challenges. I understand that each individual's path is unique, and that's why I offer personalized individual therapy tailored to your needs. With a focus on clients over the age of 13 years old as well as adults, I utilize an eclectic array of therapeutic techniques, including inner child work, somatic, relational, and systemic frameworks, along with IFS parts work. These modalities enable me to effectively address a wide range of issues, such as anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and other common challenges individuals face. Together, we'll embark on a transformative journey, providing you with the tools, support, and a safe space to explore your identity, relationships, and aspirations. Couples Therapy: Strengthening Relationships I believe in tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each couple I work with. Whether you're seeking to improve communication, rebuild trust, or deepen emotional connection, I am here to guide you towards a healthier and more fulfilling relationship. With a Master’s in marriage and family therapy, I bring an eclectic style to my work with couples, drawing from various therapeutic modalities to address your specific concerns. One key aspect of my approach is grounded in the renowned Gottman Method, an evidence-based therapy model developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman. This proven approach offers practical tools and strategies to enhance communication, strengthen emotional bonds, and foster greater intimacy in your relationship. Let's embark on this transformative journey together. Family Therapy: Strengthening Families through Integrative Therapy I am dedicated to tailoring my approach to meet the unique needs of each family. By weaving together various therapeutic strategies, I walk alongside your family, honoring your distinct stories and experiences. My goal is to offer the support you need to build resilience, navigate conflicts, and thrive together amidst life's inevitable difficulties. Together, we cultivate strong and clear lines of communication, where everyone feels heard and understood. Mutual respect, open dialogue, and shared understanding form the foundation of your family bond. Let's embark on this transformative journey, nurturing these invaluable qualities and creating a stronger, more connected family unit. Inclusive LGBTQ+ Therapist Creating a safe, affirming space for the LGBTQ+ community is at the heart of my practice. As an LGBTQ+ therapist, I understand the unique challenges faced by individuals, couples, and families within this community. Together, we navigate the complexities and barriers that society may impose, fostering stronger connections with self and others. My goal is to help clients embrace self-acceptance and curiosity, promoting healthier relationships and personal growth.

Background

Born and raised in Miami, Florida, I have been fortunate to experience the vibrant cultural tapestry and diverse community of this city. My academic journey began with a degree in Psychology from Florida International University, where I developed a deep fascination with the complexities of the human mind and relationships. This led me to specialize in Couples and Family Therapy at Nova Southeastern University, where I completed my master's degree. Inspired by the transformative power of therapy, I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Couples and Family Therapy at Nova, with a commitment to advancing therapeutic interventions in the field.

Having personally benefited from therapy, I am passionate about helping others discover their authentic selves and navigate their unique journeys of self-discovery. Guiding individuals and couples towards healing, growth, and meaningful connections brings me great fulfillment.

In my leisure time, I find solace in the pages of captivating fiction novels, allowing my imagination to soar. Exploring Miami's diverse culinary scene alongside my partner is another cherished pastime, where we indulge in the rich flavors and delights this city has to offer. Additionally, I embrace the transformative power of travel, seeking new experiences and immersing myself in diverse cultures.
